These photographs were taken on a cold and damp December morning, 2019. I was drawn to the abstract qualities when looking from above, finding the textures and enjoying the way the circles and lines crossed. I wanted to convey the feelings of melancholy which were overwhelming that day. The watery sun highlighting the sleeping garden, with the promise of renewal and warmer days to come.

I made the photographs into Solar Prints, choosing a soft sepia and ochre mix for my ink.
